ORCA Cyber Maturity Cockpit
Built during the Easy Hackathon in Bejaia, ORCA secured 2nd place for its highly efficient security architecture and strong design identity. The platform addresses critical corporate security vulnerabilities originating from human factors, local networks, and software configurations. It provides business owners with a unified mapping visualizer of all corporate endpoints, allowing real time detection of data leaks, open ports, unmanaged assets, and malware configurations.

About This Project
Unifying scattered endpoints, browser extensions, and network telemetry to highlight human and technical security blind spots during a fast-paced hackathon.
Engineered a three-part cockpit: Tauri desktop client, Django REST services, and browser extension hooks. Integrated real time network scanning and open-port detection widgets.
Ranked 2nd place in the Easy Bejaia Hackathon, recognized as a highly commercializable enterprise-grade security hub for Algerian businesses.

Insights & Takeaways
Highlights
- Won 2nd Place in the Easy Bejaia Hackathon.
- Enterprise-focused visual mapper that tracks open ports, data leaks, and local network devices.
- Cross-runtime architecture utilizing a Tauri desktop app, Django backend, and Chrome extension telemetry.
Challenges
- Handling concurrent real time endpoint socket updates and security alerts without degrading network performance.
- Designing a comprehensive mapping UI that makes complex security anomalies clear to business owners.
Lessons Learned
- Enterprise security platforms succeed when they translate abstract risks into actionable visual states (like user maps) that business owners can immediately understand.
