DzairAI
Built as a university group module project and startup initiative, DzairAI was developed by a team of four students under my leadership. The platform serves as the central hub for AI-related information in Algeria—unifying hackathons, projects, individual experts, opportunities, and student directory mappings. The project earned an excellent grade, outperformed competing initiatives in nearby regions (such as Egypt and Tunisia), and was incubated as a startup. While I have stepped down from active leadership to build new tooling, the project is now maintained by incoming student developers.

About This Project
Fragmented visibility and scattered resources within the Algerian AI ecosystem, leaving students, experts, and events disconnected without a centralized repository.
Led a team of four to build a Next.js/Supabase platform featuring comprehensive database structures for hackathons, experts, and resources. Integrated discovery and contributor pipelines.
Ranked as a top-performing ecosystem hub (outperforming similar initiatives in Egypt and Tunisia), incubated under the university startup program, and successfully handed off to new student maintainers.

Insights & Takeaways
Highlights
- Led a team of four students through full product inception, development, and delivery.
- Incubated as an official startup by the university's incubation center.
- Centralized Algeria's AI ecosystem directory, connecting hackathons, students, and professional experts.
Challenges
- Coordinating and leading a multi-member student team to design unified, scalable domain models.
- Optimizing search filters and complex account workflows for distinct user cohorts (students vs. experts).
Lessons Learned
- Leading a team taught me that establishing clear backend contracts and structural runbooks early is key to successful handoffs and long term project longevity.
